Fellowship’s journey began in Winter 2010, when the Tate family moved to Monrovia, California. After living in the city for a few months, God began to give Albert a vision to see what the Gospel community could look like in this place by coming alongside the great ministries already happening here and extending God’s Kingdom work. “The church I dream of is where all people are cared for, known, equipped and unleashed to live out the Gospel. We will invest all we have to that end. Fellowship is a group of people from all races and classes. We look differently, live differently and vote differently from each other, yet the Gospel penetrates these differences. It changes everything about the way we live, the way we are, and how we see the world. As individuals, we intentionally choose to lay aside our differences to have communion with each other and with God. As a community, we strive to live out the Gospel. “When I dream of the church of Jesus Christ, I think of Revelation 7:9, where people from every nation, tribe, people and language stand before the throne and declare ‘Worthy is the Lamb of God.’ In the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul describes the church as God’s greatest glory. If we are going to transform the world, we are going to do it through the church.
